I found the constant text popups to be quite jarring, but the presentation is very nice. The game could be very nice to play with some more resources to manage, although I think it still needs a unique mechanic to flesh out the quest giver twist.
The idea and the style is very nice! But there are many things to fix, you need much more heroes to solve all quests, why must a hero go back to city if there are more quests in the place? A drag and drop system would be nice, and auto pause if a hero returned to city ;)
Stumbled across this and I really love the concept of being the one to decide where to send heroes on quests! I appreciate how the traits of the heroes determines their ability to solve certain quests and would've loved to see more emphasis on that.
Unfortunately it felt like I got stuck with just 2 heroes that didn't have the right trait and then one died and I never got another haha. I also really liked how ignoring quests would lead to consequences like the bridge being destroyed or the village being set on fire.
The art is beautiful! Love the map. I'd love to see a bigger more fleshed out version of this game someday!
Such a great concept! I love everything about it! For the short amount of time it's a very good start of a mindblowing game! I would appreciate it, to see the upcoming versions :3 Very good job!
Many thanks for your review and for playing our game :) It's nice to hear that you liked it and that you would love to see this expanded upon. :) We really appreciate this :D
I think that we have some good news for you, because we plan to upload a new version as soon as it is allowed to do this according to the GMTK-Gamejam rules :)
There will be a lot of bugfixes we already implemented, but most importantly, we plan to add a small story update to the game! :)
So please feel free to play it again, when we release the new version :)
The Art in the game was really well made. I have realized that it is by design to fail some quests over time so that events trigger. Also some bugs are still in there. The gameplay was not to my liking. The music and immersion and game concept, however, were :D
Many thanks for your review and for playing our game :) We are very glad to hear that you liked our Art and the game concept. Your feedback is very appreciated. :)
Unfortunately we needed to crunch a lot to finish it on time, so we uploaded a very untested version :')
After the GMTK-Gamejam was over we already fixed a lot of the bugs, you probably encountered, but according to the Gamejams rules, we aren't allowed to upload a new version for one week. So we plan to upload it as soon as it's possible again. :D
AND: We also would like to include a small story update! :o
Maybe this will improve the enjoy-ability a little bit for you, so please feel free to play it again, when we release the new version :)

I’m amazed that you were able to deliver 2 different games to the gmtk game jam
I have never been more immediately stressed out by a game

Just for your information: You need to click (LMB) on the quest-cards/tiles (inside of the panel on the right side of the screen) to assign a hero.
